I have performed a prosheet check on an anchored sheetpile bulkhead wall. I notice that the output gives me a maximum moment. It tells me that my safety factor is > 1.0 (which for my purposes is acceptable). However, my hand calculation outputs a smaller maximum moment, and yet this is greater than my calculated moment capacity and the section therefore fails. Has anyone had similar experience when comparing prosheet output with hand calculations? And does anyone know exactly what is checked for regarding the safety factor generated in prosheet - moment capacity / shear capacity - and is a moment resistance reduction factor applied?
