How does SAFE calculate punching shear stress for circular column?

Hi,

for ACI 318, NZS 3101, IS456 codes, the procedure for calculation of the maximum punching shear stress involves Ixx, Ixy, and Iyy.

Safe Techincal Note (link below) sets out the procedure to calculate the above parameters, but only for sections parallel to X or Y axis.


Obviously, the current version of SAFE does support circular columns
So, my question is how can I calculate the Ixx, Iyy and Ixy for a circular shape?

In NZS3101 for a circular section and punching shear the standard notes that you can replace a circular section with a square column of the same equivalent area, so I'm guessing it does this?

You can confirm by running a circular case and equivalent square column and seeing if the utilisation ratio is the same?
