How long does 304 & 316 stainless steel last for transferring sour gas (around 30ppm H2S) approximately.
Also, is using A106 grade B CS pipe even an option and how long can it last?
I am doing some research and got extremely confused as this is something out of my scope (I am sure you can tell by the wording of my question). I appreciate any insights, help or directing me where to look for such information as reading the standards + searching for research articles didn't feel like it helped me much. Hence I thought I'll ask here :)
Thank you!

Also not my cup of tea, but some general comments:
1. When you refer "last" you mean until it it develops the first leak?
2. Pressure, temperature generally influence a lot the chemical compatibility and life time of the material
3. 304 and 316 do not handle very well high sulfide concentrations
4. Pipe thickness will also obviously have a direct effect on the pipeline expected lifetime.

As such, if you want to have some more meaningful answers from forum experts, please provide pressure, temperature and pipe thickness and maybe someone with much deeper metallurgic knowledge than myself will be able to help you out.
