There's no dividers = 1 pass. No reverse flow or turns in the secondary side flow.

OK, if there are baffles, where are the baffles? How many?

We can only answer based on the info given. No info = no value.

Our software handles it like this:
In the shell pass field, enter 1
In the shell type field, enter 2 for divided flow
enter 3 for divided flow and double segmental baffles

I'd say it has a 3 quarters pass [bigsmile]

Half the flow goes the full path the other half goes half the path [ponder]

All kidding aside you need to determine why such an arrangement would be desired.

I've seen kettle type (not as shown in the sketch) waste heat boilers with parallel shell bottom-side inlets for better hydraulics.

BTW, also thermosyphon reboilers have two bottom-side inlet nozzles but these units generally also have two shell top-side outlets.

And the original poster STILL has not bothered to say how baffles he actually has in the HX.
