How many ways flue gases can be put to use?

From dying industry after mercerising alkil rich effluent is obtained. Can flu gases be used to convert this NaOH to Na2CO3 and then this be put to use in paper industry. i am going to work in this direction If any body can suggest or give his/her expert commens. Thanking u in anticipation of your kind comments/suggestions/expert views.
