Dear colleagues,
How can we run a pig if the velocity of fluid is below 1 fps?
This pipeline has 12" OD, 17 km length and will carry condensate to facilities with maximum capacity 34000 bpd. This new pipeline is to replace the old one because of SRB corrosion.
Right now, the pipeline still on procurement stage? what technical design should be consider?
Due to tight frame of schedule, it is not possible to lined/clad or internally coated the pipeline. The OD of pipeline is fixed and cannot be change.
Is it possible to decrease the surface roughness by means of blasting or others, so it will increase the velocity of fluid?
Thank you so much for your advice, very appreciated it.
Best regards,
