Hi All,

NX6 question.. If I initiate a command and execute it, but I want to abort it, whats the best way.. Interrupt process >> Stop button is greyed out..

I used Ctrl+Shift+L , does not work in NX6..

Is there anyway I can abort the command when its getting executed?

At one time UG/NX supported the general abort command of Ctrl+Shift+L but that pretty much went away with the advent of virtual memory and the use of a modeling kernel (Parasolid) where commands are passed, the calculations done in this 'black box' and then the resulting geometry passed back the executing program for display and interaction. This limited the places where it was safe to 'abort' an operation and not corrupt the model or the data in memory.

So the practice now is to provide, when it's safe, an explicit a 'Work in Progress' dialog with at 'Stop' button. Only when you see this dialog is it safe to 'abort' an NX operation. There is not other way except to kill the NX process itself, but then you will lose your current work.
