How to apply ASME B31.1 or B31.3 In a specific situation

Gents,
I am trying to determine the best way to analyze a section of process piping for 31.1/31.3 compliance, and I am not sure the best way to go about it.

Here is a verbal schematic section of the pipe showing components and connections:

Valve Body - Threaded Flange to SAE Fitting - To SAE Hose - to SAE fitting - Threaded into a Control Valve - NPT Nipple -Victaulic Clamp - Vic. Pipe - Vic Clamp - Vic 45 - Clamp - pipe - clamp - 45 pipe - clamp - 90 - clamp to a valve body.


Does B31.1/31.3 even apply to an assembly like that? Can someone give me some guidance on how to go about this?

However, there’s more information needed in order to help you.
Can you share something about the application? Where are you located? Is this a power plant or a process/chemical plant, or ...? What’s the temperature and pressure, the service, etc?

It is a fuel pump test stand located in Texas.
That particular assembly is Jet Fuel. But there are similar assemblies of Water and Compressed air.
Fuel would be normal service fluid, and the water and are would be class D fluids

Design pressure-temperatures for all would be between 50-125 deg F, and less than 150 psi.

Hoses and Victaulic pipe are not covered by standard referenced in B31.3.

But you find Victaulic have been through B31.3 rules for not listed components and produced a design guide. google "Conformance of Victaulic IPS Grooved Couplings and Fittings to ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code (2010) Requirements"
