I'm modeling a connecting rod in an engine with a line and 2 circles, which are for connecting to the piston pin and the crankshaft. I want to model the piston and crankshaft loads as distributed loads, but using PRES applies a load that's perpendicular to the line everywhere.

So my question is, is there a way to apply a distributed load on a curved surface that's all in the same direction, without having to resort to assigning loads onto each node individually?

Thanks a lot.
