Hello
I have a question in the way of how i have to apply heat flux to the middle of the junction of two bars (copper and steel) only during a short period of time. I just want to introduce this heat flux for one minute which is the time that the video last. The video shows how several balls of wax sticking to both bars, after a certain time of heating the junction, the first balls to drop are those which are sticked to the copper. I have tried to reproduce this situation, calculating the heat flux of a bunsen lighter (hflux = 509041.6 W/m2) but when I give to the model enough time to simulate (800000) ansys reproduces a transient analysis but both bars reach 6848ºC (too much)
The point is that I don't want to do that. It is supposed that the melting point of the wax is around 50ºC so I don't want to reach these high temperatures. Any ideas in how i can model that for just one minute and ansys show me the distribution of temperatures in order to identify in what instants (inside of one minute of duration) the balls are dropping one by one?. I need a clue or something to start. Thanks a lot.
