Hi All,

I am new to Ansys APDL and I am not familiar with the material how ANSYS read. Can someone help me how to input material property in APDL? Although I am trying to put the material property but getting some error on solution. While performing the analysis by adding the material property in Ansys software the work is performed using Nonlinear with a bi-linear constitutive model. But I want to use Linear elastic-plastic model for analysis.
In my analysis, the initial modulus assumed as 200 kN/mm2. The tangent modulus at yield stress of 240 MPa. The yield strength of 240 MPa and ultimate strength of 415 MPa are given as input parameter as material properties.
Would you please help me how to add the above parameter in defining Linear elastic-plastic model.
Looking forward for your kind help, I appreciate your help!
Thank you,

Take a look at the MP and TB commands. In a nutshell, MP commands are for linear material properties, and TB is for nonlinear. And yes, take a look at the Verification manual, as suggested above. You can cut and past the script and run it, then play with it is to see how it behaves. Much more informative than asking questions.
