How to assign spatial variable material property in ABAQUS?

Hello

I would like to specify different material parameters (Young's modulus for example) for each element of finite element mesh. Can anybody show me how can I do so?

In thread799-100345 the user Drej has said the he could offer some suggestions on which ABAQUS-specific material model to implement. I hope he or anybody knows about this will help me.
