Hey all ......

im using ACAD LT at work and ACAD 2000 at home.

I've been having this problem of switching my style evrytime i bring my work home.
When there is a command on and i want to cancel it , at work i just right click on the mouse or press ESC, but at home only the ESC button works, the right click would bring up another scroll down that would have a cancel command in it.

How do I tweek it so that I can cancel the command with just the right click?

Thanks

Daniel

Usually if you go to Windows, control pannel, and find you mouse properties. If your using a half decent mouse or mouse driver you can set what each button does. Change the properties for you right mouse button from alt select to esc. or cancel

Hope it helps.

Dear danieldoral,
The solution is a piece of cake.
1. Run the OPTIONS command.
2. Activate the User Preferences tab in dialog box.
3. Unselect the below option:
"Shortcut menus in drawing area"
4. Click OK

The system vabiable "SHORTCUTMENU" controls the
act of rigth button clicks. You can set the Right-
button actions using the "Right-click Customization"
button in the above-mentioned dialog box.

Actually an answer you may want to consider might be a combination of the 2 previous posts.
*I've found the right-click pop-up menu to be exceptionally valuable, as the option to any command is rigt there; I don't have tO leave my mouse and go to the keyboard to enter the option, and don't have to look away from my work to execute the rest of any command.
*I also REALLY like one-button cancel. What to do?
I spent $19.95 on a multi-button mouse and reassigned the 4th button with "esc"ape. Both needs met! I think uou can even get less expensive mice with additional (more than 3) buttons. GOOD LUCK!
