how to connect shell181 elements sandwitched between solid185 elements in ansys mechanical APDL?

I am modelling soil as solid 185 element and geogrid as shell181 element to get the interaction between them i have to connect these elements.. Can anybody help me how to connect it?/

you can use either bonded contact or merge the nodes with the nummerg command
