The intention is to simulate electric surface heaters. Controlling the magnitude of surface flux based on temperature at point B (control tolerance being 1C), (the temperature at point B is continuously being changed by forced convection some times and Heat generation sometimes)
Basically I am trying to simulate a thermocouple at point B. My question is how can the magnitude of surface flux (switching the heater on or off) be controlled based on solution variable (i.e. temperature at B, here) in ABAQUS. (User subroutine DFLUX seems to be an option but my interpretation of it is that in DFLUX only values of the solution dependant variable (like say temperature) of the point where the heat flux is being applied (i.e surface A, here) can be passed to it and not of any other point (like B here). Can you please help me by correcting me if I am wrong (about DFLUX) or by suggesting any other method or a better procedure to do this? If it can be done using DFLUX, what would the code be like?
