how to convert v4 files to v5? 2

hi,

how to convert v4 files to v5? please help me regarding this...please explain it with an example and procedures involved....

Open the V4 model file in catia V5. It will open in CATIA V4 workbench. Right click the header in the specification tree and give copy or else copy all the items in SOL alone from the tree if you want to copy the solids alone. Then open a new part file and click paste special from Edit menu. Select 'AsSpec' if you want the model history and 'AsResult' if dumb solid is enough
