I am trying to create a copper tubing coil to be cast in an aluminum part for cooling. I can not seem to figure out how to create it. Can anyone give me some pointers as to how to do this or give me some resourses to check into. Thanks in advance.

Hi
Go to Generative Surface Design> Insert> Wireframe> Helix.
The Input For Helix is a Starting point(Radius of the tubing coil) and a Axis of Revelution.
After Creating Helix create a Plane Normal to the Helix at any one of its end. (Plane> Normal to Curve> select helix> select any one of the end point.)
Create a 3D Circle on the plane and "the endpoint of Helix as Circle center" of desired Radius( Insert> Wireframe> Circle> Endpoint of Helix where Plane is created> created Plane for support> Dia of the wire> whole circle Option).

Go to part Design, use Rib command to create ur Tubing
(Rib> Circle> Helix> Pulling direction> Axis of revelution of the Helix).

Hope u get it
