Hi!

I have a problem to convert my drawings in solid edge v19 to good quality .pdf files. I need to do this since the company which I am going to send my drawings to does not have any drawing software.

The converted files has much thicker lines compared to how they are in the drawing view window, it seems wrong to me.. I want to be able to do a A4 drawing and to zoom into the picture so that all the lines are visible that was on the original drawing.

I tried to download the solid edge viewer to look at the files through another computer. But that made the drawing even worse.
How can this be?

How can I get around this problem?
Please let me know asap if you have a solution!

Regards \Anders

Hi Anders,
Just a suggestion but in SE when you go Print > Settings do you have the 'Scale Line Widths' box checked ?
When you say you want to do an A4 drawing and zoom in etc. do you meaan create an A4 size PDF from a larger drawing ?

From what you've said I may be barking up the wrong tree but...

When we create PDF of large drawings [especially D (A1) & E (A0)] we have to make sure we set the PDF sheet size to match. Otherwise the lines tend to get heavy on an A (A4)size print and details aren't legible.

I have "solved" the problem now.
It was the width of the lines that you can change on the format --> style..

:) now it works with a charm
