How to create Piping bend tables in V5 R16?

Hello all,

Can some one tell me how to generate the PIPING/TUBING bend table (With information like SEGMENT LENGHTHS, TWIST ANGLE, BEND ANGLE, BEND RADIUS etec..) in CATIA V5? I have a TUBING RUN with me now.

In CATIA V4 I get this information easily but in V5 how to do it?

If you have a tubing run, your next step is to create a bendable. But to use the Dassault utility program you need to customise Tubing Design to meet your specific requirements.
All this customisation is rather complex to set up properly and depends on what you want to achieve.

In fact I am working on a heavily customized, robust and proven enviornment of CATIAV5 & DPM.

I belive everything is available in our set up but I am failing to get into the right steps. Can you give some more hint what i have to do exactly after I place a Bendable on my RUN. At present I am creating the RUN in catia V5 then importing the bendable to CATIA V4, generate the required data there and importing the values back to CATIA V5 drafting,. Its really tedious but I ought to deliver on time!!! difficult situatuion!!!!!!

In the V5 help search for "Extracting bending data from bendable"; that will be a starting point but I doubt it will have all the process info you require.
You should not start by the end i.e. the bendable; you must first define what are your company processes and integrate them in Tubing Design.

The script mentioned above is very generic and simple since it was developed by programmers not engineers, therefore do not expect much of it.
