I am extremely new to Abaqus, but I am the only one my supervisor can exploit right now, so he is making me produce him a model regardless of the fact that I barely understand what I am doing (or that this is not my field of work).

So I have a wire on which a moment is acting (Wire's section is Type: Beam, it integrates before the analysis, and works under the 200000000000 Pa (I actually need it to be smaller 1000000000 but if I change the values, then the model doesn't run), it's profile is rectangular 0.1x0.1 (though I need to make it a circular profile of a 0.0015m radius, but once again, if i choose a different profile then it doesn't run)
I was able to make the wire bend into a circle under the effects of an applied momentum, by meshing the part and assigning nodes to the wire's length.

Right now I need to pull on one (or both) of the wire's ends to make them intersect with one another (though I need to apply some friction to the point where they touch). Sort of like a very crude Paint drawing below:

Honestly this is not thesis work or coursework, this is just plain old misunderstanding of Abaqus on my supervisor's part and his expectation that I can actually do this, regardless of the fact that I have no idea where to start.
If at all possible I would ask for an explanation on how can do what I need to do, or at the very least a referal of some sort of documentation or other posts that can help me. Please keep in mind I have been working on Abaqus for two weeks now and majority of what goes on in that program baffles me. I would grately apprichiate it if somebody would help me out.

P.S. What is the difference between moment on node of an object with orphaned mesh and pull force on an object with geometry?
