How to dimension in a Detail view

Hi everyone,
Can anyone help me dimension a feature when i use a ballooned detail view. I would like to import diameter dimension's onto a flange I created a detail view but have not been able to figure.

Are you trying to create a Foreshortened Dimension?

[Updraft]

You can try dimensioning in the parent view and then moving the ones you want into the detail view. The detail view will only hold a) dims that are fully contained in that view and b) foreshortened dims to features in that view.
