Sorry guys, I know that I'm bothering you ,but I have a question are those tamplate were drawing according to any standard or not, and if you have any standaard for the extension spring I'll be more than glad if you give me a feedback.Thank you :$

I know my example was NOT based on any standard, but if you've got a suggestion as to where to find something which would be useful, let us know.

No, my example was not any particular spring. It is set up so that I can use it to create springs as I need them based on a manufacturers data such as static (unextended) length, diameter and wire diameter.

John you have to take a look to the example of mmauldin it's a good one .
but I have a hint as I know that in tension springs the wire diameter must equal the pitch at it's original length and it's not in your model?..and also the radius of the helix is a constant and I think it would be the same of the radius of the hock..

my manager needs from me to make a library for the springs so I need the standard of the tension springs to make a part family , so if I'll have any new updates I'll tell you guys :)

I'm not sure what you're seeing but the expression for the 'Pitch' is set equal to the expression for the 'Wire_Dia'. And 'hook diameter' is the same as the Spring dia, although the values are not currently linked, but that's an easy fix.
