I have light pipe that intersect a flat surface at the end of my part. I need to find the center of the light pipe. So I create a "Datum curve > Surface interect" and I have a closed 2d Datum curves. Now I need to find the center of the 2D section or the center of the Centroid and create a Datum point at the center. I have looked through all the menu and I have looked through PTC Knowledge base with no luck. Could some one direct me on "these area the step to find and place a datum point at the center of the Centroid.
Many thanks are given. Texaspete.

Create a surface using your resulting curves and then perform an analysis feature.

Hora, Thanks for the posting, But could I be more specific. When I do the analysis feature I don't know the menu picks to find / tell how / ask for the center of a flat surface that has the shape of a capital "D".
So I am more specific, I have a Capital D shape 2d datum curves section. I then built a Flat surface using the Datum Curves as boundaries. Know the goal is to find the center centroid of the "D" shape. I never had to do this so I don't know the menu picks or do I need to create parameters - If so I need to know this.
Thanks again for your help. Texaspete

You're right. Create a solid (both sides)from your curves/surface and make a cross section in the middle (where the curves lie). Then perform an X-SECTION analysis by choosing your section.
