How to find the area of a solid

Hello guys and gals,

I am new to catia v5 and I wanted to know if there was a way to view or find an area of a solid. This would help me out lots.

? What area? The Wetted Surface Area is available under the Measure Tool (you might have to select the Customize option to turn it on).

If you want the Projected Area, it's more difficult.

The shape would be a odd shape that I would draw. How about an area of a square or circle. Does catia displays this anywhere? is there a method to calculate the area?

Ok, I think i figured it out, do the measure Inertia button and you can get the are for any suface and also the mass if too.............
