How to get the heat loss value(or cfm ) when the garage door open in winter? I'm now so confused about how to get the open door
heat loss calculation. I can get the 3.9L/s/m2 for enclosed garage parking lot. but if doors open, and cars enter in winter, how to get the air infiltration rate? Thanks!

Look in the ASHRAE Handbooks for estimation of heat loss. The heat loss will be very high if you look at the worst case of a windy day in the winter. You may want to consider the installation of an air curtain if the door is open for extended periods of time.

Try radiant heating. The ventilation loss is less significant.

Can air curtain reduce the heat loss(when the door open)? I have no idea about the air curtain. If I don't use air curtain, how to get the numerical value of the heat loss?

Ashrae book only has enclosed basement calculation. When door open, how to estimate the loss? Thanks!

Manufactures should have information regarding their air curtains. Also see:

ASHRAE for info on air curtains:
