How to I get my drawing to regenerate and show the changes made to my part.

I'm a rookie, I made my part and created a new drawing and have all the views in place. I did view display, sheet and it took me to the part and I then clicked start and modeling and have made a change to the model. How do I go back to the drawing and have my changes show?

Go back to Start -> Drafting and after the Drawing is displayed there's an icon labeled 'Update Views' which will open a dialog showing which views are out-of-date. When you hit OK or the Apply button, it will force the views to update.

You can also switch off Preferences Drafting / View / Delay View Update.

The drawing will update just after Start Drafting, but be carefull in case of big assembly

Which is exactly why the out-of-the-box default is set to 'Delay View Update'.

Which is exactly why a new user would not know to update the drawing manually.

It's a computer, doesn't it do it automagically..?

I'm glad you mentioned there is a price to pay in performance, if all is to be done automagically. Doesn't say that in the shiny brochure.

Sounds like whining when it comes from a user, you'all must think.
