How to learn More about geotechnical design practice 1

Greetings !!!

I am posting this for the question i am always wondering about.
I want to know how i can learn more and more in geotechnical engineering design practice?
Currently i am working from last 10 months, i am working in mostly infrastructure projects, means my scope is up to bridges for railways and highways, ports. So i am facing many issues like unavailability of design parameters, so i am searching for co-relations and boundary conditions to assume the value. So, i am searching the journals and technical papers and reading them. This is just one side of the coin. I want to have that skill like by looking at the SPT values, Core recovery, RQD values i can feel about the strata behaviour at the field. i can't able to put in words actually.
i want to learn that decision making skills like "WHAT TO DO IN THIS CASE?". that judgement skill i want to learn.

Any guideline for this or any way i can adopt to learn please don't hesitate to mention below.
Sorry for not being clear about what i want to learn. Hope you can understand.

I won't try to answer other than say "It comes with experience". However, you also should be asking "How do I evaluate a situation and make construction recommendations that do not waste money yet are safe? In my practice this last question sometimes makes the difference between a client becoming a repeat client vs going to a competitor., Those clients arn't stupid. They usually can tell the difference.
