SW2006 SP5.0

I am trying to have more columns visible when importing DT into the dwg but somehow no luck. When "Edit Table" and "streching" it to the right (to include more columns) no matter what I do, the DT "streches" but also changes "zoom", that is everything becomes larger result being even tough the DT is now bigger it does not contain more columns.

I can NOT change the zoom because that little zoom icon is inactive in this situation.

I tried to "Edit Table in New Window" where the zoom icon is active and I get what I want but after saving (of the part) and going back to "Edit Table" the previous size of DT pops up - and I belive when I import DT into a dwg it's that size of DT that shows up on the dwg.

Nothing helps - even deleting DT from dwg and reinserting it again. I even closed up SW completely and restarted it - no luck.

Delete the DT from the drawing,
Open the model,
Edit Table ... NOT in window,
Format DT to suit and close,
Return to drawing, select a view and Insert > Tables > Design Table

Sorry CBL, but it does NOT work. Read this:

That's because you are stretching it in the drawing.
You need to stretch it in the model.

A simpler way is to double-click the table in the drawing, which should open the DT in the model. The DT can then be manipulated to suit ... WYSIWIG.

Nope, I am streching DT in MODEL and it is in MODEL where the DT behaves strangly ... :-( :-(

I have even wiped out DT from MODEL and recreated it ("automatically") in MODEL - still weird :-( :-(

The MS Excel is 2003

What version of SW?

Are you using Edit Table or Edit Table in New Window

What version of SW?

SW2006 SP 5.0

BTW, I just tested SW2005 (new model, but similar). The same problem. When you strech DT in MODEL (Edit Table) the DT "zooms in", that is it becomes larger area BUT because of the "zoom in" effect, everything gets bigger, result being no extra collums appear to the right.

Try to make a very simple model and than insert into DT extra colums, say $PRP@remark1, $PRP@remark2, .... and make those colums wide .... See if you can get ALL of them visible (in MODEL) - in my case even when I "decrease the size" of DT in "Edit Table in New Window" (to have the things fit) and than come back to "Edit Table" the DT starts to behave as discribed above.

Are you using Edit Table ...

Yes, Edit Table

Just had a friend do a quick test with SW05-SP0 and although the table in the drawing did not auto update, (it had to be deleted and re-inserted), the DT behaved properly in the model.
