how to make a worm drive mating

okay people, this is simple: i must model the worm drive as it is - with proper teeth meshing, exact axes distance and proper rotation and so on...

How this can be done ? Mates, physical dynamics and so on - please explain it

How good does your model have to be? I can accurately model a worm. I can accurately model the position of the worm and the worm gear. I would use a spreadsheet to analyze the system. The worm gear is tough.

Your worm gear ought to be fabricated by a gear cutter. In this case, the tooth geometry will be controlled by the fabricator's tooling. Your model does not have to be accurate. Define a tooth section and a helix off to one side of your gear, matching the worm.

The other possibility is that you are casting the worm wheel, in which case you do need accurate geometry. I have not tried this.
