I want to feed the output signal of an audio device (which has 2.1 vp-p at 300 ohm at output) to another audio device which is shown as 0.5 vp-p at 50 kohms (-6db)at input in its specs. Do I have to use a impedance transformer? and if yes how can I do that?

This sounds like a simple voltage divider as the 50k input is insignificant compared to the 300 ohm source.
.5/2.1 = (1/(1/x+1/50k))/300
x = 71.53 ohms 300-71.5 = 228.5
The closest standard values would be a series divider of 226 ohms and 71.5 ohms.
