I have a simply supported cable of 100 meters length that is subject to a pretension force and self-weight. The maximum deflection that is calculated by Ansys is a lot less than the theoretical deflection. Ansys gives a deflection of 1.27m when the actual deflection should be 12.5m. I have included my command file below. Any help would be appreciated.
