I want to model a layered cylinder vessel.
The layers have different E and nu.
Just use tie keyword after making each part?
Please, tell me.

nu? what does nu stand for?

Do you mean composite as polymer matrix material?
what type of material for each layer?

If it is a sample tie, wouldn’t it better to model it as a single part and partition it into the required layers and assign the required material into those layers?

Thank you for your quick reply.
nu means Poisson's ratio.

Why not use composite shells or composite continuum shells?
