How to model Tuned mass damper in FEMAP

Has anyone had experience in how to model a tuned mass damper in FEMAP or in general?

Add a mass and a spring which have a natural frequency coinciding with the frequency you want to detune. restrict the direction of movement in all other directions other than the direction of interest. Ideally a mass of some 10% of the total mass is used, but this is not always a feasible option.
