Hello all,

I am currently working to migrate my company to ANSYS Workbench 14 to perform magnetostatic analysis on hard disk drive motors. One of the bits of information I am interested in is the magnetic gap flux density in the middle of the air gap between the magnets of the motor. I am trying to view this gap flux density by using DesignModeler to create a surface at the point of interest. However, when I load up ANSYS Mechanical to perform the analysis, the surface body created with DesignModeler does not show up and I am not sure why. Is this because ANSYS Mechanical needs parts that have thickness to them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, including alternative suggestions on how I can view the gap flux density. I prefer not to use section planes because I need the flux density at a very specific point and section planes do not allow me this degree of control.
