Hi,

I need to plot a lot of drawings with R2004 but the objects were drawn with yellow line. As you could find, you could hardly see the objects on printed paper. Is there any way to fix it other than change the color of object in model space for each drawings?

Thanks,

Go into your pen settings and create a new one for this plot and change the color of what yellow will print. Standard is yellow, change it to black, green, anything else. This will save you time because when you plot just select the pen style that you created for this plot. Hope this helps, if your not sure about how to change pen settings please post again and I'll be glad to help.

Or, use the monochrome plot style in the Plot dialog.

Create your own plot style. Substitute a darker yellow for the standard yellow. I run into this all the time so i made this plot style my default.

The only thing monochrome will do, is print black and white along with Grayscale, etc. Acad pen style prints color, but you will still have to edit the pen style for the color yellow if you do not want to change it manually on the layer.

Yellow is not a good color to print. Your best bet is to have all colors printed as black.
Go to page setup in the file pull down menu; select the plot folder in which you select acad.ctb and prss the edit button on the side; highlight all the 255 colors to turn them to black when you select black to the color selection to the upper right and save. a full preview should reveal all the colors to have turned black.

I've had situations like this, and do redefine which color plots for yellow in the pen definitions. I do one additional thing, which is to increase the pen width for that color as well. Since I DO want a light yellow color, it needs to be a bit wider to maintain its visibility.
