How to read data from ABAQUS during simulation?

Hello Everyone,

In my simulation, I have a RHS column with shell element with reduced integration. There are two steps, 1st is mechanical axial loading and 2nd is thermal loading of the column.

I would like to know if it is possible to read the data such as displacement or reaction forces while the simulation is running?

Thanks in advance.

You can open the output files as they are filled with results. There's also DOF Monitor in Abaqus/CAE that lets you plot selected DOF (displacement of a given node in the selected direction) while the simulation is running.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

But I want to read this data while the simulation is running. SO let me know if there is any way possible to do that.

Hey there, Have you checked if your simulation software allows for live data output? Also, what specific data are you mainly interested in while it’s running?

Hey,

The software I am using is ABAQUS by DS. That's my question whether it is possible or not. If Yes, then I am interested in Displacement and Reaction forces.
