Hi,

I am trying to run a project in ANSYS workbench 18.1 in command line (batch), and I've got an error regarding ANSYS LOCK. It says that the project is locked.
I tried to add an environment variable in windows (ANSYS_LOCK OFF), but it did not work out. So I would like to know where is the ansys configuration file where I can edit/remove the ANSYS LOCK. Or if there is another way of solving this problem, it is 100% welcome.

Any help appreciated,
Thanks,
Best regards,
AndradeSilva

If youenter help and search on lock, you will see that the lock is caused by the presence of a .lock file. You unlock the project by deleting this file. This can be done with the /SYS command.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for your reply.

I've already tried to delete the .lock file. The problem is that when I try to run a wb project in command line, the lock file appears again and blocks the project run. Do you know how to prevent the .lock file from appearing?

Thanks,
Best regards,
