Hi,

Been asked a question from one of our users, how in NX can you remove an assembly-level colour edit?

For example, if someone changes the colour of a part in an assembly from green to yellow, the child component in its own file is still green.
But changing the colour of the child component in its own file (say from green to blue) no longer changes its colour in the assembly, it will still be overriden and yellow.
And there is no obvious way to change the colour in the assembly back to "original".

The only way I've found is to delete the component and re-add it ~ does anyone know a better way?

Thanks,
Carl

Hi Carl,
What version of NX you arre on?
Try this setting if it works for your specific NX version (kindly find the image attached).
You just need to go to component properties and turn the specific color off.

Kapil,

Perfect, thanks very much, I had no idea how to do that!
Am on NX7.5, I will create an autosignature to include that info in a moment.

Thanks again,
Regards Carl

Hi Carl,
Infact if i am not wrong then you don't even need to do this selectively for each component .Just select all the components (including those whose properties needs to be changed) right click and go to properties and turn this setting off.
Sorry i am not sure if this setting got introduced NX8 onwards or was it there before also (i have only NX8/8.5 to check this) but give it a try..
Have a good day.
Best Regards

Hi Kapil, tested it on NX7.5 before I replied and it works fine, so thank you very much for your help!
