I need to do some thermal analysis in a combustion chamber, image it just like a tube.I have a temperature profile that I can assume constant along different tracts of the cylinder. My problem is that Pro E merges all the surface of the cylinder therefore I cannot assign different boundary conditions on the different parts of the surface. How can I keep separate different parts, or how can I separate them for my thermal analysis. Please help me

You can create a surface region.

Use the menu Insert-->Surface region, sketch the region's profile on a plane, and select the surface to extract the surface region from.

You should be able to apply your boundary conditions to these different surface regions.

Take a look at the Pro/Mechanica forum on this site as well for more info.

Hope this helps
