How to retain sheet piles

Hi!
We have an on-going project using sheet pile as earth retention structure.
This sheet piles are located just 3 meters from the existing body of water.
Our problem is that the owner of property just beside our sheet piles inform us that they will dredge the soil underneath.
Is there any way we can protect these sheet piles?
Any methodologies or information we can relay to the owner of property beside before they can start dredging?

Give him your lawyer's phone number.
Let them know that they will be responsible for all associated damages.

Throughly Document the condition of your own pile installation now.

The adjacent owner should consider installing his own line of sheet piling 2 to 6m away from yours and excavating on the far side of that.

Seems to me you need a written agreement from the neighbor stating the maximum future depth of any dredging. Then design your wall for that depth or maybe even deeper.

I think it's more like, when you excavate for subway tunnels, you are responsible for damages above. When you blast, you are responsible for falling rocks. The limit of owner's rights are where they affect those around them.
