How to round corners on sheet metal parts?

I made a sheet metal part in V5R3 by using Extrusion, Wall on Edge, etc. After that I made the Automatic bend and I am able to nicely Unfold the part. To round the corners I have to start the Part design Workbench and use the Fillet command. It is OK but in unfolded view they'll be never visible.
Have somebody an idea how to obtain the unfolded part with the real contour and rounded corners?
Thanks,

Hi,

Don't mix Part Design with SM. Just use cut in SM in unfolded part.

thanks Fernando. I'm new in SM and I just miss some commands like Fillet, Chamfer, Mirror.

Hi, jozsef!

Where did you find the mirror command in the Generative Sheet Metal Design Workbench?

Akesson

Unfortunately I didn't find these commands in SM and probably they don't exist in this workbench.
Just I would like to have...

Sorry I thoght you've found them. I miss them as well especially mirror.

Hi Akesson,

I think I must change my idea how to build a SM part, it is a little bit different of Part design. If I look the problem from point of view of fabrication process, I must agree 100% that ferdo advised me: to use only cuts is logic because the real part contour is realized by cuts. But from point of view of creation of the model I don’t know why couldn’t we have these functions?
Maybe in a near future… I hope the Catia development team will think about this… Mirror is a big miss. Is there anybody who agree with me?

Bye,

HI Jozsef,

If you need something to mirror you have to use it in sketch.

Hi,

If I would like to create for an example a cabinet that is symmetrical I normally only create a quarter of it and use the mirror command twice.

It would be nice to be able to use SM in a similar way.

Thanks for advice and useful ideas.
