For those out there still using NX2. . .
When NX2 is closed, the current toolbar layout is saved to the registry. You can also save to a file for later retrieval if desired. These files have a .RWS extension and are found in the \\UGII\menus subdirectory in the NX2 install.
To save these files, right click on any menu bar, select Customize…, select Save Layout. A directory window will open, search to the \\menus subdirectory to overwrite the existing files or select any other drive or directory. Press OK to save the file. You need to do this for EACH application.
To restore the toolbar layout from these files, just select the Reset Layout button for each application.
If you saved the files to a directory other than the original location (such as a network drive), then you need to edit the \\menus\custom_dirs.dat file by appending the new location. The system will then search this location instead. This file should be modified at each workstation. This enables any/all/multiple workstations to access the same layout files.
Each user can still modify their layouts as desired, but will only be restored to the saved layout from the Reset Layout function.
