How to search for materials from material library in NX 8.5? 1

Hi,

Can anybody please let me know how to search material from material library(NX material Library will have more than 30 materials-picking the material by reading each material name creates more strain).
But in NX 8 we had search option/we were able to categorize materials like steel,Plastic aluminium etc.
Same option is not available in NX8.5. Can anybody Guide me how to search material from material library while asigning material to a material part in NX 8.5?

When you are in 'Assign Material' command, do the following:
1. click with right mouse button (RMB) on the Name or Category or Library (in the Materials section)
2. in the new menu, go to Materail Category option
3. now, deselect the last one '*'.
4. then deselect all the others, that you don't want to see (metal or plastic, or polymer or ceramic).

Additional to this, you can create your own filters:
1. again, click with RMB on the Name, or Category, etc.
2. select 'Create filter'
3. in filter rule define, how you want to filter
4. add this filter by clicking on '+' button
5. your material are filtered now.
6. if you don't want to use this filter, then click again with RMB on the Name or Category, etc. Then select 'Select Filter' and 'Remove all Filters'. You will see all the materials again.
