Dear all,
I have a shell section like the following:
It's a shell section profile, with rebar inside. As thickness of the shell is increasing from left to right, I used analytical field to define the section thickness. However, as you can see also the rebar position with respect to the mid-surface is also varying from left to right. In rebar layer option, we need to specify the distance from rebar to the mid-surface, but we can only input a constant when defining?
In help manual, it says that: if shell thickness is defined by nodal thickness distribution, rebar position is scaled with the ratio of thickness to the default thickness.
My question is: what is this default thickness? Is there any better way to handle this problem?
Thanks in advance, any suggestion or opinion will be greatly appreciated!!!
