I'm trying to indent the words PATENT PENDING on a part. The parts surface is not flat, but curved (radius). Is ther a way to "carve the words into the part? I want the part to show the wording. I'm in SW11. I'm a Proe guy but this job is SW. Anyone out there?

Also possible -> create a Decal. Gives a fair amount of flexibility
Attached image took about a minute to create a picture in paint that said Patent Pending,
Photview>Edit Decal>Select Geometry and so on. A tutorial with a full walk through should be easy to find.

Create a sketch with your text and then make an extrude cut but choose Offset From Surface where you might otherwise choose Blind. Here you can set the depth of cut. The only caveat is that the surface you are cutting into must be one contiguous surface, i.e., your sketch cannot span multiple surfaces, but even that can be easily dealt with.
