I want to ask some questions about the 3D simulation of the effect of impact between the steel ball and steel plates. I have been modeling the load cell test of impact of steel balls and steel plates. Unfortunately the results was not give the same results as with the experiment. I have been trying many times and changes time step and mesh for both steel ball and steel plate. I want the steel ball to bounce back after the application of velocity of 1.98m/s to the steel plate. Then I would like to see the impact loads imposed on the plate. Attached herewith the .mud file for your references, i hope that everyone in this forum could help me. Thank you very much.
