How to Specify Displacement to a Point?

I'm trying to make a simplified version of my model work, which is two blocks separated by a distance. One is completely fixed, while the other is only fixed on the far side from the first block. I'd like to specify displacement of the partially free block such that the block deforms, and face of the block contacts and adheres to the fixed block. In the next step I'd like to release most of the BCs on the first block such that the two blocks "equalize".

Is it possible to specify displacement of a datum point or node to another datum point or node in a step, instead of using distance BCs or specifying forces? (Sort of similar to using OSNAP in AutoCAD to snap an object to a particular location.)
