Hello
I am running several cases back to back (when one is finished, the next one starts)I'd like to stop running while the stress reaches the yield stress. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks

If it’s Explicit analysis you can use *FILTER keyword with HALT parameter or *EXTREME VALUE with HALT=YES parameter. Otherwise you would have to use subroutines (with utility routine XIT).

Thanks, I have a cylinder with internal pressure. I want to find the pressure corresponds to yield stress and then stop. How about I only assume elastic-perfectly plastic behavior for cylinder so the stress cannot go beyond the yield but deformation still can. If I define a point set at the inner side of the cylinder and output the stress as a field variable, Am I able to see the pressure contour that shows the pressure at the time of yielding?

After an element has reached the yield stress, it behavior becomes unrealistic with perfect plasticity. The element/material has zero stiffness then.
