The drafting standard where I work doesn't use the phi symbol in diameter dimensions and I'm trying to find out how to remove it from a dimension in AutoCAD LT.

How do you distinguish it from rad dimensions, then? Not that most cases aren't obvious, but there ARE cases where specifying "R" or "Ø" before the dimension is the most obvious way to tell.

Type the command DIMSTYLES and go looking for the prefix used for DIMDIAMETER

Use DIMLIN instead of DIMDIAMETER (poor practice)

Use DIMRAD using a special style that multiplies the dimension value by 2X (very poor practice)

Please remember: we're not all rednecks!

I've not tried it, but can you use a text override? Something like <> to just give the value? It's a WAG...

A quick Google search yielded this answer from Autodesk forums:

in the dimension style definition: put a blank space in the Prefix box.
