I have made a section view of a shaft in my drawing and now I want to have this view go back to the original
un-sectioned view.

How do I do this?

Thank you,

Jeff

I don't think there is a way to do it other than deleting it and creating a new projected view (assuming that it is a projected view).

DanStro is correct. A section view is derived from its parent view. You will need to delete the section view and replace as DanStro mentioned.

Were you asking about a section view (which is a complete view unto itself) or a broken out section (which shows a section of a selected area of an existing view)? If it is a standard section view then as they said you have to delete the entire view and start over. If however it is a broken out section, it will appear in the FeatureManager Design Tree as an item under that view. You can select and delete just the broken out section in the Feature Manager.

Hi,

I was talking a section view not broken view for I have been able to un-do a broken view.

That's a real bummer on not being able to un-do a section view and having to delete and insert a new projection view.

In Pro-Engineer you create a section view and if you want to un-do it so you go back to the original model you double click on the section view and a window opens and you click on section and then click NO SECTION and the section view is gone and you have the original model left.

Soildworks needs to fix this.

Thank you for your input.

That's an interesting work-around. Then you can hide the section line.

My assumption is the dimensions in the former section view will "brown out" because the edges have "changed." Give it a try though... I am curious.
